Siwak

Subhanallah, using siwaak makes our lord pleases us. Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:

Siwak is a means of purification for the mouth and is pleasing to the Lord (Sunan An-Nasa-i; Hadeeth Sahih)

Maybe that’s why Prophet Muhammad like it very much. The following Ahadeeth tell us about it:

Abu Musa reported that “I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and found one end of the tooth-stick upon his tongue (i. e. he was rinsing his mouth)”.  (Sahih Muslim; 254)

‘A’isha reported: Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) entered his house, he used tooth-stick first of all. (Sahih Muslim; 253)

Huddaifa reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) got up for Tahajjud prayer, he cleansed his mouth with the siwaak. (Sahih Muslim; 255)

Narrated Anas: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “I have told you repeatedly to use the Siwak. (The Prophet (ﷺ) put emphasis on the use of the Siwak.) (Sahih Bukhari; 888)

`Aisha radhiallahu ‘anha reported: `Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakr came holding a Siwak with which he was cleaning his teeth. Allah’s Messenger looked at him. I requested `Abdur-Rahman to give the Siwak to me and after he gave it to me I divided it, chewed it and gave it to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ). Then he cleaned his teeth with it and (at that time) he was resting against my chest. (Sahih Bukhari; 890)

SubhanAllah! May Allah ease us to use the siwaak!

Tell me, when are the times we should use the siwaak?
